The public consultation period for the Five Year Financial Plan is open. Members of the public are encouraged to read the proposed bylaw and ensuing guidance document as passed in first and second reading on November 16th, 2020.
Traditionally, the Town of Princeton has published a mailer and published an ad in the paper to educate the public on the financial plan. In the spirit of open and transparent government, the Town of Princeton was originally planning to host a meeting with the Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen, Area H to introduce both budgets and solicit public input. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this is no longer possible.
The Town has produced a public information video, located at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PvU9jbOPv_k. The video guides the listener through the bylaw itself and a presentation on the budget numbers and methodology.
The Town will undergo a public consultation period has been extended to Friday, February 12th, 2021.
All submissions are requested to be in writing, and submitted to Town Hall either by email to firstname.lastname@example.org, mailed to PO Box 670 Princeton, BC V0X 1W0 or dropped off at the front mail slot in front of Town Hall at 151 Vermilion Ave.
