 Overview

 The Town of Princeton’s Parks, Recreation, Culture and Tourism Department is   currently seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to provide an active   and energetic park play program for children aged 6 to 12 in a park setting.

 Scope of work

 In this position, you will work in a two person team to supervise children; plan   age appropriate activities (games, crafts and sports) that are energetic, safe,   and provide inclusion in a social and recreational setting.

You will also be responsible to set up and clean up activity space, ensure parents/caregivers fill out a drop in registration form, and sign their children in and out of the program each day.

The successful candidate is a positive and outgoing individual who enjoys working with children of all abilities; demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skill; possess leadership skill; and proves to have sound judgment for quick decision making.

 Requirements 

 The candidate should be self-motivated, skilled at building relationships   with children and parents, and enjoys working outdoors. They will also   have:

·       Completion of grade 10.

·       Related experience working with children.

·        A basic First Aid and CPR/AED Certification.

·        (Arrangements can be made for certification.)

This position includes 4 hours per day, 5 days per week for 8 weeks and includes training and program development the last week of June.

 Other   Information

 This position requires the completion of a Police Information Check prior   to beginning employment.
