2021 BC Floods: Residential Mitigation Incentive Program
How the Red Cross helps:
The Canadian Red Cross is offering financial incentives through the Residential Mitigation Incentive Program to help eligible residents of a community impacted by the 2021 BC Floods and Extreme Weather Event.
Applicants must:
- Have a primary residence located in a community impacted by the 2021 BC Floods and Extreme Weather Event.
- Be a homeowner, a tenant, or reside in a community-owned home.
- Have a primary residence that was not damaged in the 2021 BC Floods and Extreme Weather Event or incurred minor damage that did not impact your ability to remain in your home.
- Lived in and remains a resident of a community that was impacted or have relocated to a community that was impacted by the event.
Important Information: To be eligible for reimbursement, you will need to provide the Red Cross with photos of before and after the work was completed, as well as receipts/invoices for the work completed.
Note that activities completed before January 16, 2024, are not eligible for reimbursement.
Application period: January 16, 2024 to April 30, 2024
